Just watched him on CNN trying to spit out a few sentences about why he will do nothing about his cronies price gauging gasoline to the American people. He stuttered and hemmed and hawed. $2.13 cents in Arizona today up 54 cents since March.

You stupid ass libs should have wrote your congressmen when they continued to stall on an energy bill sent to capital hill which would have expanded refinery capacity, as well as allowed for more drilling on U.S. soil. No, to easy for you simpletons to blame Bush.

Red,it would help if he gave an intelligent explanation,or some type of solution as to how to resolve the problem.

As much as it sucks that your gas prices are rising, they're not nearly as high as they are in the rest of the world. Also, from a purely liberal perspective, I can't understand why people don't see this as a great opportunity to curb consumption -- maybe the SUV could suffer a little nosedive because of this and the compact car could make a comeback. North American gas consumption is disgusting and it wouldn't kill us to cut back. If it takes high prices to do it, then it's all good.

I think average taxes on our gallon in the states is 50 cents or so? Are you guys up in Canada just being taxed much more heavily or is it an economic issue as far as cost to get it to the pump?

Whenever I goto the US i am amazed to see how many SUVs have only one person in them and 'carpooling' lane is 2 people.

The cost of a barrel of oil is essentially the game. In the UK the price is about maybe US$5.85 per gallon. Taxes here constitute about 75% of the price of gas.

May be a long summer of strikes by truck drivers as was seen in the Summer 2001.

One big difference between here and the US is that most consumers here don't care too much about the price rise since there is a 'reliable' alternative to the car, public transportation.

"No, to easy for you simpletons to blame Bush."

Isn't there quite a bit on irony in someone that supports a simpleton calling others simpletons?

For that matter I've always found those that call themselves redneck not realizing it's a derogatory term kinda simple themselves.

Just a moot point, but you used the wrong form of the word "to." I suspect that your empty attacks on the intellect of those with view that oppose your own might carry a bit more merit if you used proper grammar. But, hey, what do I know - I'm just a simpleton.

I think Junior has a mild form of dyslexia and has some "learning disabilities". Doesn't make him a bad person, he's just a little "slow".
